Be An Insurance Claims Adjuster

President & CEO of TPAS, LLC Charleen Hoskins

The Adjuster Life

Being an Insurance Claims Adjuster affords you the opportunity to make a financial impact upon your household.  It is a rewarding job that can easily become a meaningful career.

As a licensed Insurance Claims Adjuster your objective is to help property owners after a loss by assessing, investigating and paying for their damages.

 Benefits:

 1. Travel
- Most, but not all, Independent Adjuster positions require you to travel to your destination.

 2. Flexibility
- You have the option to accept the assignments that you want or that pays more. Once accepted, you also have the option to be released from your assignment, pending management approval, of course.

 3. Leisure Time
- Independent Adjusters don't have to work all year, if they don't want to.  Many adjusters are known for only working 6 months out of the year.  That leaves more time to be home with your family and friends.

 4. Helping People
- It's not about what adjusting can do for you.  An adjuster is on the frontline of assisting policyholders owners with their loss. To become good at this, you must care about the people you are assigned to help.

Becoming an Independent Adjuster only has 4 requirements:

1. Be 18 years or older

2. Determine if your resident state requires and issues licenses for adjusters.

3. Pass your resident or non-resident state adjuster license exam.

4. Apply for and receive your resident or non-resident state adjuster license.
